Artist Statement

I am a conceptual artist with a camera, capturing real moments.

I create conceptual frameworks in which works emerge through investigation, observation and interaction. The physical world, light and perception are my subjects.

My photographs and films are fragments of a story rather than fixed conclusions. They leave room for interpretation, surprise and imagination, while remaining connected to something real.

My style is minimalist, sculptural and experimental. The work is carefully considered, but not over-determined. I create conditions in which meaning can emerge through the relationship between object, light, image and viewer.

The viewer completes the story. For me, art is a conversation. I begin with visual fragments and encounters, but the final meaning develops through the viewer’s response.

I intend to create work that engages on a psychological level, invites reflection and leaves a memorable impression.

I am influenced by New Objectivity, Surrealism and Conceptual Art, as well as artists including Ed Ruscha, László Moholy-Nagy, Joan Fontcuberta and Sol LeWitt.

I continue to expand my conceptual approach across photography, stop-motion and other visual media, exploring how time, sequence, and sound extend visual experience.
